The work of Simon Oberhofer spans large format photographs, taken on repeated visits to Istanbul, graphical studies reflecting urban change and landscape. Oberhofer moved from his native Italy to Austria, where he graduated in architecture at the Technical University of Graz. His focus as a photographer today is on the complexity of urban space and how we inhabit it, whilst always keeping a poetic, architectural view. Between Summer semester 2015 and 2017 he worked as a lecturer at IZK.
