Ena Kukić (Sarajevo, 1990) works in architecture through research, practice, and teaching. Her PhD research at the Institute of Design and Building Typology explores spatial fragments of collective memory. Studies in Sarajevo, Barcelona, and Graz shaped her focus on architectural typologies and their role in the intergenerational transmission of memory. Her master’s thesis on memorial architecture received first prize at the 2018 Austrian GAD Award and was selected as a finalist for the 2019 Archiprix International Biennale in Chile.
Together with her partner, Dinko Jelečević, Ena has developed projects that reimagine and revitalize industrial heritage in Bosnia and Herzegovina, earning the national Collegium Artisticum Award twice. She has lectured at Princeton University, Syracuse University, and the Tallinn Architecture Biennale, among others, and has led workshops, talks, and exhibitions as a 2023 LINA Fellow, sharing her research and practice with international audiences.
