The research-based course is designed for students to explore the Bauhaus philosophy with an emphasis on colour theory and media. The students will approach artistic practice through critically analysing specific themes in film and engage with Bauhaus practices today to develop media-specific works that address colour. This semester we will focus on developing relations between Bauhaus practices and contemporary challenges rooted in imperialism, gender, race, ethnicity, and Euro-American centrism.
