A five-day workshop exploring the idea, design, and organization of an imaginary school.
Art schools across Europe are slowly being transformed into factories and business enterprises. Can we imagine art, architecture and design school as an antidote to this dismal trend? What might this school look like? What historical models can be explored to create a new hybrid? How can students and teachers design their own school together? How would it be run? Who would define its curriculum? How would it be financed?
This workshop will be divided into a series of presentations, intensive one-day design charrettes, brainstorming sessions and group crits.
