Budour Khalil (she/her) is an architectural researcher from Syria. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Graz University of Technology. She works at the intersection of architectural, artistic, and curatorial practices, with a commitment to anti-colonial and feminist knowledge production. Her work experiments with performance, poetry, digital and conceptual art, and photography. She is a founding member of the Gender Taskforce, a working group dedicated to improving gender equality and equity in architectural education. She is also a founding member of raum*f, a student working group that focuses on intersectionality, parity, and diversity in urban planning and architecture. Between 2021 and 2023, she was a member of the association: The Social Thing. Art, Architecture and the Public, which ran the independent exhibiting space Annenstraße 53, in Graz, Austria. Her Master’s Thesis, “The Massar Rose: Ideology, Crisis, and Suspended Time,” was awarded the Research Prize for Architecture of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Civil Engineers. She lives and works in Austria.
