Mirjana (Boba) Stojadinović

Mirjana Boba Stojadinović (1977, Serbia/Bulgaria) is a visual artist, who graduated and received a master’s degree at Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade (2006), and she also holds a MFA from Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam (NL) in collaboration with the University Plymouth (UK) (2008). Since 1998 she exhibited solo in Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia, and also organized, curated as well as took part in numerous local and international exhibitions. The focus of her interests is space and narration, employing performatively photography, text, sound, light and objects.

She is the recipient of the award of the 25th Memorial of Nadežda Petrović (2010), and her works are part of public and private collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade, the National Museum of Montenegro, Telenor collection of Serbian Contemporary Art, Contemporary Gallery Zrenjanin etc.

She is also into the production of the field of contemporary culture: she is the author and the producer of a public discussional plaform ARTIST AS AUDIENCE (2010–2016). She is one of the founders of the Magazine for Independent Culture MANEK (2013). She curated the Belgrade edition of the transnational project “ACTOPOLIS. Art of Action” by Goethe-Institut, locally titled “FORMALLY INFORMAL. Belgrade Self-Organized Cultural Production” (2015–2017). Since 2018 she is collaborating with the Cultural Department of Radio Belgrade 2 (Radio-Television of Serbia) covering the field of contemporary visual arts, since 2022 she is collaborating with Cultural Centre of Belgrade for public relations.
