We are very happy that we have been able to welcome Samia Henni in person at TU Graz this week.
Her lecture Colonial Impositions and Their Non-Effects: The Problem of French Domestic Norms and Forms in Colonized Algeria has been a truly inspiring contribution to IZK’s ongoing lecture series and research in the context of Gender Task Force.
In yesterday’s workshop Colonial Present and Future, we had further discussions around the topics of the lecture, as well as the notion of ruin and ruination in the colonial context.
